Description	Official souvenir program for the Eleventh Annual Costume Ice Carnival of the Manhattan Figure Skating Club held at Iceland, 304 West 50th Street in New York City on Sunday April 24, 1938. This show was later brought to the Iceland skating rink at Carlin's Park in Baltimore, Maryland. Listed in the program are the events and the skaters who performed in the Ice Carnival. The Manhattan Figure Skating Club, which was organized in 1926 and lasted into the 1970s, was the training ground for many figure skaters. Carlin's Park (also known as Carlin's Amusement Park and Carlin's Liberty Heights Park) was a popular entertainment center in northwest Baltimore that featured a children's playground, a dance pavilion, a roller rink, the ice rink, an Olympic-size swimming pool, grounds for picnicking and biking, and the games and rides found in most amusement park. Opened in May of 1919, Carlin's Park lasted until the mid-1950s, when it closed as an amusement park; it was then reopened as the Carlin Drive-In, the second largest drive-in movie in Maryland and the only drive-in theater within Baltimore City limits.
